Essentials Course

Cider Production 101
August 10–14, 2026  ·  SLU Alnarp (15 min from Malmö)
Pricing & Registration

A weeklong, in-person, English-language cider education course in the south of Sweden, co-taught by three cider experts with complementary areas of focus.

The course introduces students to the practical and theoretical knowledge necessary for commercial cider production, adapted to the Nordic context. It combines lectures with lab work, study visits, practical exercises, and daily guided tasting sessions. A comprehensive set of cider fact sheets, produced by the course instructors, is provided to registered students in advance of the course week.

Students will leave with confidence in every step of the production process, from the orchard to finished product, equipped to make cider the way they want to make it.
